Catching our breath in Casper, WY

We moved over to Casper, WY to spend a week catching our breath. It has been non-stop driving and touring since we left AZ. Our mail will finally catch up with us. It is from here that Mike and Linda will leave and head back to Maryland. It has been a laugh filled 10 days of traveling together.

The county fair and rodeo were going on. These are the big events in this mainly farming community. The main streets and businesses shut down for the fair's opening parade. There is also an historic Ft. Caspar that protected the river crossing during the years of the Oregon Trail. There were two small dinosaur museums in the area. They were very well done and really interesting collections.

We also found out that my sister from VA will be visiting her daughter in Bend, OR in early August. We had been trying to figure out where we should go next and now we know. I haven't seen my niece in quite a while. She is very excited about showing  Bend to us as she just loves living there.
